Version 2026-11-05. This agreement covers the beta program only, from November 5 through December 31, 2026. From January 1, 2027 the Terms of Service apply.
Beta Program Agreement
This Beta Program Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Furrow & Quill, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (“we”, “us”), and the law firm or practitioner that accepts it when creating an account on USPatentProsecution during the beta program (“you”, “the firm”).
1. The beta program
USPatentProsecution (“the platform”) is drafting and docketing software for U.S. patent practitioners and their firms. From November 5 through December 31, 2026 it is available as a beta to firms we approve: for testing and feedback, free of charge. There is no subscription, no order to pay and no fee during the beta. Every platform order you place is recorded and receipted at $0.00 so that you see the order flow as it will work from January 1, 2027.
2. Provided as is; it may change or stop
During the beta the platform is provided as is, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement. We may change, limit, suspend or stop the platform, or any part of it, at any time without notice. There are no service levels.
3. No contract for services before January 1, 2027
Taking part in the beta does not form a contract for services. No agreement for services is formed, and no liability or warranty is given by us, before January 1, 2027. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you or to anyone else for any loss or damage arising from the beta or from anything prepared, docketed or missed on the platform during it.
4. Your responsibility: a registered practitioner signs and files
The platform is software, not legal services. We are not a law firm and do not practice before the USPTO. Your firm’s registered patent practitioner alone reviews, corrects, signs and files everything, and is responsible for every deadline, paper and filing. Drafts, deadlines and rule citations produced by the platform are aids to be checked, not advice.
5. Confidentiality and data
Your data (invention disclosures, names, drafts, uploads, dates) stays confidential and is handled as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement, which apply during the beta. We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. You can export your data at any time; if you do not continue after the beta, we delete it on request.
6. Feedback
You may tell us what works and what does not; we may use that feedback to improve the platform without any obligation to you. You are not required to give feedback, and nothing you report is confidential unless it contains your matter data, which stays under section 5.
7. End of the beta
The beta ends on December 31, 2026. From January 1, 2027 you are asked to accept the Terms of Service and the price list before your next order, on one screen in your firm docket; Furrow & Quill, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, is then the contracting party. Nothing is charged before you accept, and every charge needs a click that names the price: a card saved during the beta is used only after you say so on that screen, and the yearly monitoring fee is offered before each filing anniversary and charged only when you confirm it. You can stop using the platform at any time; your account and data are then handled under section 5.
8. General
The laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, govern this Agreement. If any part of it is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. This Agreement is the whole agreement between us for the beta program and replaces any earlier statement about it. Questions: info@uspatentprosecution.com.
