DRAFT. Based on the Common Paper standard agreements, written by a committee of attorneys. In force from January 1, 2027; not before. Until then the platform runs as a beta under the Beta Program Agreement, and no agreement for services is formed.
Privacy
This page says what the USPatentProsecution platform (Furrow & Quill, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company) collects, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
- Account data: name, work email, firm, role, USPTO registration number (practitioners), the terms version accepted.
- Matter data: what the firm and its applicants enter: invention disclosures, names of parties, uploads, forms, dates, drafts and papers.
- Usage data: sign-ins, actions on matters, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
- Enquiries: messages sent through the contact form or the question bubble.
Why
To provide the platform to the firm under its agreement with us; to meet legal duties (records, conflict checks); and to keep the service secure. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
AI processing
To produce drafts, the relevant parts of a matter are sent to the AI service provider we use, under its business terms. Customer data is not used to train models.
Where data is kept
On servers in the United States. For firms in the EU/EEA: the transfer mechanism (standard contractual clauses) is to be confirmed with counsel.
Retention
Account and matter data: while the account is active, then deleted or returned as the terms provide. Enquiries that do not become clients: the substance is deleted after 90 days; names and dates stay for conflict checks, as the professional rules require.
Security
Uploads are encrypted at rest; access is limited to the firm’s own users and to us for support; connections use HTTPS.
Sharing
With service providers needed to run the platform (hosting, email delivery, the AI service, payments), each bound to confidentiality; with authorities when the law requires.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion and export of your data; objection to processing where the law provides. Write to us through the contact page.
Cookies
Session cookies for signing in, and a cookie that remembers the firm an administrator is viewing. No tracking or advertising cookies.
